a few weeks ago, my sister sent me a cell phone pic of hunter at the beach and i couldn't stop thinking about it. it's so similar to another picture that we have framed in his room of my mother with him at the beach in 2004, except in this new one, he's alone. as though he's aware that she's not next to him.
but, maybe it's that she IS there, but only he knows, so he's quiet and still, just taking it in.

I love that sentiment; that maybe she's still there with him, but you just can't see her.
My godson tells my mother-in-law about the conversations he has with her father, who passed away in December. It's spooky.
P&D, totally. It's spooky, but kind of awesome. I hope the little ones DO see them.
It comforts me a bit.
